The bar is what controls your kite. Most kites and bars use four lines. Some specialized kites use 5 lines.

All four line kites have two steering lines and two powerlines. The steering lines are connected to the end of the bar and to the tips of the kite. The powerlines are connected to the safety and to bridles at the front of the kite. There are a few differences between bars from different brands. Some brands use a 'high V' and other brands use a 'low V' setup. 'High V' means that the front lines split at some distance from the bar. Core bars for example have a 'high V' while Airush bars have a 'low V'. On most modern bars the four lines are of equal lenght and can be used for most modern kites.

Most modern bars can also change the lenght of the bar. Longer bars are used for bigger kites and for faster turning. Shorter bars are used for smaller kites. Most freestyle riders use a shorter bar as it makes the kite react less when doing handle passes and other tricks.

Feel connected with the Core SENSOR 3S or the Core SENSOR 3S PRO

The Core SENSOR 3S and the Core SENSOR 3S PRO are both four line bars. The main differences are that the SENSOR 3S PRO has a ceramic bearing, uses tectanium lines and the bar is made from carbon with an inner titanium core while the Core SENSOR 3S uses a normal bearing, normal Core lines and the bar is made from aluminium with a titanium core.

Both bars have variable line lenghts (18m, 20m, 22m or 24m) to adjust your bar to your riding style and conditions. Shorter lines will give you faster control while longer lines will make your power window larger. The Light Wind series of kites come with 3m line extensions to get your riding earlier in light wind.
