What is Kiteboarding / Kitesurfing?

Kiteboarding or kitesurfing is an exciting marine sport. It has been one of the fastest growing sports the last decade. Lately wing foiling became very popular too.

Kiteboarding uses a kite that pulls the rider. You use a board to steer yourself in the direction you want to go. There are diffent kind of kites and boards.

The kite is connected by four or five lines to a bar. The bar is used for steering the kite and powering up or down the kite. A harness connects the bar to the rider.

You uses a board to steer yourself into the direction you want to go. Learning to go upwind is the first big step towards becoming a good kiter.
